Screenshots of the game as each roadmap row lands, newest first. Every frame is a real capture from the
game's own play-flow tests at 932 x 430, the review size for a landscape phone. They are desktop renders: a record of
what the player sees, not device performance evidence.

v4 row 4.13: the v4 demo video (2026-10-06, done at 4fe4f889c)
Branch work/lc-v4. Seed 2082026, one continuous run, every act pressed on the real HUD. Video: the v4 demo above, 109 seconds.
Version 4 in one take. At dusk the survivor carries a branch to the rabbit warren and sets a snare across a run. The night
is fast-forwarded until the snare holds something, and at first light it does. The survivor takes the rabbit, skins it with
the knife, lays a fire, cooks the meat on a skewer and eats it. At ten in the morning the line says something heavy is moving
to the south; from the ridge lookout the mammoths are grazing the meadow below. The field log ends it, a page for each animal met.
Dusk at the warren: a branch in hand on a rabbit run, and the arc offers SNARE.First light: the night is lived through, and the snare has something in it (CHECK).BUTCHER: ten minutes of knife work turn the rabbit into meat, skin and sinew.COOK: the meat on a green stick over the fire. The skewer still stands upright rather than across the flames, a polish item. The ridge lookout at 10:00 on day two: the herd, a calf among them, in the far meadow.LOG: three pages after one day and a night, each with its stars still to earn.
v4 row 4.12: the map of Kettle Basin (2026-10-06, done at ebb7c9a3c)
Branch work/lc-v4. No new assets: every frame is the basin as built, the survivor stood on each named place at 16:00 on day one, far zoom.
The basin now has named places, each measured from the world itself rather than drawn by hand: the camp flat, the rock seep,
the shallow pool, the rabbit warren, the ridge lookout with its meadow, and the hollow. Each has coordinates, a walk time from
camp at the survivor's real pace (4 metres a second on the stick, so the pool is 20 seconds away and the lookout 42) and a camera
of its own. Measuring the pace found a bug: walking down the screen was a third slower than walking up it. That is fixed, and so
is a corner of the frame where rising ground was cut away and drew as sky.
S9, the shallow pool, 79 m north-east of camp: the second water, cloudy, and the bison come to it.S8, the rock seep, 25 m north-west: the first water, clear but small, and it can run dry.S11, the hollow, 96 m west and 16 m below camp: the coldest, wettest ground in the basin, a bad place to sleep, but where the stems for cord grow.S10, the rabbit warren, 91 m north-west: six rabbits run here, and this is where the snares go.
v4 row 4.11: the collection log (2026-10-06, done at d51bec125)
Branch work/lc-v4. Owned assets: Game-icons feather pictogram (already in the HUD set).
A field log that outlives every run. Each species gets a page the first time the survivor sees it, then earns
stars for what the player does: seen, tracked (creeping close while it keeps grazing), trapped or hunted, and
trained. It is written the moment a star is earned, so closing the app or starting again never loses it, and it
never pays out anything: it is a record, not a reward.
The rabbit's page. Seen and tracked are earned, each with what earning it meant; trapped or
hunted and trained are dim until they happen. Tap anywhere to close; with more than one species, PREVIOUS and NEXT
turn the pages.LOG joins the corner row, beside PACK, BODY and SAVE.
v4 row 4.10: the first mammoth sighting (2026-10-06, done at b88846a66)
Branch work/lc-v4. Owned assets: polyperfect Low Poly Animated Prehistoric Animals (the Columbian
mammoth rig, its six clips and colour map, the mammoth-stomp footfall).
At 10:00 on day two a mammoth herd (a bull, two cows and a calf) comes into a meadow below a ridge lookout and
grazes there until noon. The line tells the player something heavy is moving and which way the high ground is.
On the lookout the view turns and opens so the watcher and the herd share one frame.
Story camera S7 as shipped in the row. The view turns to a three-quarter angle so the mammoths
stand broadside enough to read, with their shadows; the line names the sighting. A second fresh review still scored
it 4 of 10: it reads the herd and the calf, but wants a horizon, a visible drop to the meadow and a large watcher in
the foreground. That needs a perspective shot over distant terrain, the next step for this moment.S7, first reviewed version. A fresh reviewer scored it 4 of 10: the mammoths read,
but the watcher is too small to find and the line still says to go to the high ground. Being fixed next: the herd
grazes closer, the line names the sighting once the view opens.10:00 at camp. "Far off, something heavy is moving. The high ground to the south-west would show it."First try, kept for the record. The mammoths were drawn at twice their size, and the camera
clipped the ground nearest it, so the survivor and the bottom third of the frame were missing. Both were fixed.
v4 rows 4.4 to 4.7: snares, butchery, cooking, foraging (2026-10-06)
Owned assets: Survival Engine net trap and berry bush, PROTOFACTOR campfire skewer, Coniferous forest
mushrooms, Low Poly Animated Animals rabbit.
A snare set on a rabbit run.The morning check: a rabbit in the snare.Cooked on the skewer over the fire.Foraging: the brown mushrooms are safe; the red ones beside them are not.
